Within the Bats project, we will work with the large noctule (Nyctalus lasiopterus). The population of this bat in the Lower Guadalquivir region uses environments with different degrees of anthropoization, from urban parks of Seville and Jerez de la Frontera, to the National Park of Doñana. It is a species with significant conservation problems (”Vulnerable” in the Spanish Catalogue of Threatened Species and in the IUCN Red Book). In the study area, the problems are competition with Kramer’s parrot in urban parks, and collisions with Wind Farms in Cadiz. A detailed follow-up of the different colonies will be carried out with ring, microchips and GPS marking, in order to know the evolution of the population, the possible displacements between localities and the routes used in their displacements in relation to the risks of collision with the wind turbines.
