Lorena Gómez Aparicio

Degree in Environmental Sciences, PhD from the University of Granada and scientific researcher at the Institute of Natural Resources and Agrobiology of Seville (IRNAS-CSIC). She leads the research group on Mediterranean Forest Systems (SIFOMED), focusing on the study of the impact of global change on the functioning of Mediterranean forests and agroforestry systems Her current research focuses on understanding the role of climate change, exotic pathogens, and biodiversity loss as determinants of the health loss of forest systems. The ultimate goal of this research would be to promote management and restoration actions that contribute to improving the sustainability of these systems in the long term.
