Antonio José Fernández González

He has a degree in Biology from the University of Granada (UGR), a Master’s Degree in Research and Advances in Microbiology from the UGR and a PhD in Microbiology from the UGR. He works as a contractor in charge of the project at the Zaidín Experimental Station – CSIC in Granada. His studies focus on understanding the structure, composition and interactions of microbial communities in the root system of woody plants of both great environmental interest (e.g., oak, oak, oak and various pine species) and agricultural (olive). Highlighting the studies on the alterations in the bacterial communities of oaks following a forest fire in the protected area of Sierra Nevada and the alterations in microbial interactions in the olive grove related to the development of verticilosis.
