She has a PhD in Biology from the University of Barcelona and is the technical manager of the GIS and Remote Sensing laboratory at the Doñana Biological station. She has worked for years with remote monitoring systems of sea birds and characterization of the marine environment from satellite images. Her main interest is to assess how environmental changes, brought about by both climate and human impacts, can affect the ecology of the highest levels of food webs, particularly sea birds.
