Carlos M. Herrera

He holds a PhD in Biological Sciences. He works at Donana Biological Station in the Plant-Animal Interactions Group, in Evolutionary Ecology During his long scientific career, he has investigated most facets of the evolutionary ecology of plant-animal interactions, including the plant-frugivore, plant-pollinator and plant-herbivore binary systems, as well as the ecological, genetic and epigenetics associated with plant-pollinator and tritrophic systems that incorporate the fungi present in the floral nectar. He is also interested in aspects of thermobiology involved in pollination processes and long-term dynamics.
